Here, I have put my own Elizabethan twist onto Miley Cyrus' short modern haircut. I drew plaits running from her hairline back into her quiff was braids were often used in the styling of Elizabethan hair. I have then drawn a jewels headpiece that sits around her head as it is quite grand looking and Queen Elizabeth often wore jewels in her hair to show her wealth and power.
For this hairstyle, the black dots represent pearls that would be running in this crown like pattern through her hair, and the black drop in the centre of her forehead would be a dark jewel such as a sapphire or a deep red ruby. She would then have more sapphires/ rubies standing up on the edge of her hair and a jewelled cross in the centre at the top of her head which would be very grand looking. Finally, I would create two big curls in the gaps between the string of pearls to add extra decoration to the hairstyle, as twists and curls were a very popular style in the Elizabethan era.
